Pac-man

Pac-Man, created by Toru Iwatani and released by Namco in 1980, is one of the most recognizable characters in video game history. The character's design is inspired by a pizza with a missing slice, symbolizing a mouth. Pac-Man's primary objective is to navigate through a maze, consuming dots and avoiding ghosts. The game became an instant hit, thanks to its simple yet engaging gameplay and the character's charming, approachable design. Pac-Man’s legacy includes not only numerous sequels and spin-offs but also a lasting impact on popular culture, making him an enduring icon in the gaming world.

Clyde

Clyde, the orange ghost, stands out from his spectral counterparts due to his unique behavior. Unlike the other ghosts, who actively pursue Pac-Man, Clyde operates in a more erratic and less predictable manner. In the original game, Clyde alternates between chasing Pac-Man and wandering off to the lower-left corner of the maze, making him less of a direct threat but still a challenge due to his unpredictability. This distinctive behavior earned Clyde the nickname "Pokey" in some versions of the game, reflecting his less aggressive but still troublesome nature.

Pinky

Pinky, the pink ghost, is known for her strategic and somewhat cunning approach to catching Pac-Man. Rather than simply chasing Pac-Man head-on, Pinky attempts to ambush him by predicting his movements and positioning herself in his path. This behavior requires players to think ahead and develop strategies to outmaneuver her. Pinky’s approach adds an extra layer of complexity to the game, as players must constantly be aware of her potential ambushes, especially around corners and near junctions in the maze.

Blinky

Blinky, the red ghost, is often considered the most aggressive of the ghost quartet. Nicknamed "Shadow," Blinky's primary tactic is to pursue Pac-Man relentlessly, following him closely throughout the maze. His behavior becomes even more challenging as the game progresses; Blinky's speed increases, making him a formidable opponent. Blinky's persistence and increasing speed require players to stay on their toes and continuously adapt their strategies to avoid capture, contributing significantly to the game's escalating difficulty and excitement.

Inky

Inky, the blue ghost, exhibits a complex behavior that combines elements of both ambush and direct pursuit. His movements are influenced by both Blinky’s position and Pac-Man’s current location, making him a wildcard in the ghost lineup. This dual influence means Inky can be unpredictable and difficult to outmaneuver, as his behavior can vary greatly depending on the situation. Inky’s unique movement pattern adds another strategic layer to the game, forcing players to keep track of multiple factors simultaneously to avoid being caught.

Together, these characters create a dynamic and challenging gameplay experience that has captivated players for decades. Each ghost’s distinct behavior requires players to develop a range of strategies to succeed, ensuring that Pac-Man remains a beloved and enduring classic in the world of video games.

wix-cms

This list of characters is built using Wix Content Management System (CMS). The user friendly interface, shown below, for adding, removing, and editing content is perfect to update content without affecting the site design.  Thousands of items can be easily constructed in CMS.

Here, each characters information is loaded into the repeater list and linked to a Wix Stores product. Even the color for each character and the header changing is controlled with the CMS and Wix velo coding.

This technique can be expanded into custom product galleries, filtering user interfaces and even full applications.

Dynamic pages can be built off CMS, similar to a Store Product Page, every item receives a unique page, filling it's content into a template page design. Updating this template, means all these dynamic pages are instantly updated.
